Predit
Started and implemented by the MEEDDAT (Department of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Land Settlement), the MESR (Department of Higher Education and Research), the MinEIE (Department of Economy, Industry and Employment), the ANR (National Research Agency), the ADEME (Agency for the Environment and Energy Management) and OSEO, the Predit is a national research, experimentation and innovation programme in land transport. Launched in May 2008 by Valérie Pécresse, the Secretary of Higher Education and Research, and Dominique Bussereau, the Secretary of State for Transport, the 4th edition of the Predit, led by Jean-Louis Léonard, Deputy of the Charente Maritime region, will end in 2012.

Objectives

To ensure the reputation of the programme among professionals and the general public.
To promote the image of the Predit and, more widely, of French research in land transport.
To create a "Predit reflex" among journalists working on topics related to the programme's activity.

Strategies

Using the launch of the Predit work programme to promote the concept via the organization of a press luncheon at the National Assembly
=> 35 journalists were present among which the AFP, Challenges, Les Echos, La Tribune...
Keeping in regular contact with the press in order to make them aware of the Predit's actions (regular organization of thematic breakfasts, promotion of publications and books, organization of "one-to-one" meetings, quoting of experts' advice, positioning in relevant editorial dossiers...).
